A Master Clothing Educator, Certified by Ohio State
University Extension, I have been in business since 1988 serving the needs of many. From my beginnings in 1977 as the head tailor at Robert's Men's Shop in downtown New Philadelphia,
Ohio, my experience with altering menswear fashions
grew to include quality women's wear and bridal apparel.
For the past 38years I have served as a
4-H Clothing Judge in Tuscarawas County and surrounding areas of the State of Ohio. I enjoy working with children, teaching them the values relating to pride in their own creations, a
sense of acomplishment and
teaching life long skills that can be used into adulthood.
I have given seminars twice(2011, and 2018) at the SEWING SMORGASBORD in Sommerset, Ohio sharing my business knowledge and offering detailed experince in operating an alteration business.
I have taught machine quilting and basic sewing skills both at Buckeye Career Center and privately. I have a 43 year career as a Professional Alteration Tailor and Sewist. I define my success by achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction possible.
I'll be serving again in 2019 as an Ohio State Fair Clothing Judge. This is indeed an honor allowing me to critique and encourage young sewists. This brings my expertise to the forefront helping to guide future designers and tailors.
